愛知県名古屋市生まれ、静岡県富士宮市出身。日本大学芸術学部演劇学科演技コース卒業。
幼少期よりクラシックバレエやミュージカルに親しみ、舞台を通して表現する喜びに出会う。大学在学中、ジャズヴォーカリスト・丸山繁雄氏の授業をきっかけにヴォーカル・インプロヴィゼーション(即興表現)の魅力に開眼。その後、ニューヨークで体感した数々のジャズライブやミュージカルから大きな影響を受け、卒業後、本格的に作詞・作曲およびライブ活動をスタートさせる。
現在は東京・横浜を拠点に、ジャズクラブやライブハウスをはじめ、ホテル、レストラン、クルーズ船、各種イベントなど、年間100回以上のステージに出演。やわらかく透明感のある歌声と、言葉を大切に紡ぐ情景豊かな表現力を持ち味に、ジャズ、ボサノヴァ、ポップスを独自の感性で歌い上げる。そのステージには「心が軽くなった」「明日からの元気が湧いてきた」という声が絶えない。
バンド「THE FUTURE」「Penguin Village」のヴォーカルを務めるほか、Gary Scott氏との共作アルバム『Chasing The Sun』『Mama Said Swing!!!』をリリース。これまでにKaleb James氏、Gerald Painia氏、ファイヤーホーンズなど、国内外の第一線で活躍するアーティストとの共演を重ね、幅広いフィールドで活動を続けている。
また、自身の音楽活動と並行して、「誰もがサンタクロースになれる社会」をテーマにした「サンタクロースプロジェクト（サンタクロース音楽会）」を主宰。児童福祉施設をはじめとする、さまざまな事情から家族と暮らせない子どもたちへクリスマスプレゼントを届ける活動や、障がい福祉施設で作られたお菓子や雑貨をライブで紹介・販売し、笑顔の循環を生み出す「サンタクロース音楽会」を企画・開催。音楽を通じて人と人をつなぎ、やさしさの循環を生み出す活動にも力を注いでいる。
現在はシンガーソングライターとしてオリジナル楽曲の制作にも精力的に取り組み、ジャズやボサノヴァの洗練されたエッセンスを大切にしながら、聴く人の心に寄り添い、人生をそっと照らす歌を届けることをライフワークとしている。
Born in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, and raised in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture. Graduated from the Acting Course, Department of Theatre Arts, College of Art, Nihon University.
From an early age, she was immersed in classical ballet and musical theatre, discovering the joy of expression through the stage. During university, a class with jazz vocalist Shigeo Maruyama opened her eyes to the charm of vocal improvisation. Deeply influenced afterward by the jazz performances and musicals she experienced in New York, she began writing songs and performing live in earnest after graduating.
Now based in Tokyo and Yokohama, she performs on stage more than 100 times a year — at jazz clubs and live houses, as well as hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, and a variety of events. With a soft, translucent voice and a richly evocative way with words, she sings jazz, bossa nova, and pop with her own distinct sensibility. Her shows are consistently met with comments like, "My heart feels lighter" and "I feel energized for tomorrow."
In addition to serving as vocalist for the bands THE FUTURE and Penguin Village, she released the albums Chasing The Sun and Mama Said Swing!!! in collaboration with Gary Scott. She has performed alongside leading artists from Japan and abroad, including Kaleb James, Gerald Painia, and Fire Horns, continuing to build a career across a wide range of fields.
Alongside her music career, she also leads the Santa Claus Project, based on the theme of "a society where anyone can be Santa Claus." Through this project, she delivers Christmas presents to children who, for various reasons, cannot live with their families — including those in child welfare facilities — and plans and hosts "Santa Claus Concerts," where sweets and goods made at facilities for people with disabilities are introduced and sold at her live shows, creating a cycle of smiles. Through music, she devotes herself to connecting people and spreading a cycle of kindness.
She is currently also devoted to writing original songs as a singer-songwriter, cherishing the refined essence of jazz and bossa nova while making it her life's work to deliver songs that gently accompany listeners' hearts and quietly light up their lives.
